We decided to use SJK Electrical as our Online Store name to penetrate the electrical appliances industry in e-commerce business. Although we do not have the advantage of low costs in products, we have successfully reduced the peripheral costs and remained strong competitive prices in the market due to our IT technology and capabilities. Time proves everything, SJK Electrical’s countless efforts has achieved an annual revenue exceeding 10 million in the second year.

However, price competition has become intense in e-commerce. On account of constant cost, our margins were facing decline. In this case, Petabyte Technologies found that the only pricing strategy that can be used to keep the prices competitive and profitable is Dynamic Pricing. Dynamic pricing helps us to lower the products selling price whenever competitors lower their prices; also helps to raise the price to a reasonable price when the competitor has run out of stock.

Therefore, many online retailers and online sellers have to track competitors’ selling price more frequently which causes an increase in labour costs. When tracking prices and adjusting prices has become a daily routine for employees, this uninteresting and repetitive work has annoyed employees and led to employees doing the work not concerning whether the work is done correctly or not.

As a result, we rely on the belief that ‘Things that are troublesome can be done easily’, we have developed a software that enables price monitoring to be automated; the function of this software allows employees to manage prices more effectively while saving more time to complete other works.
